Teaching
Whether you are 6 or 60 if you're looking to learn some new musical skills, I'm here to help!
I believe that making music should be fun and should be a tool of self expression.
I've had experience preparing students for RCM exams, performances, and auditions but even if you're not interested in taking things quite so seriously I'm happy to help you discover your musical talent at your own pace with smaller and less terrifying goals!
Voice
Voice is my area of expertise. While I'm a classically trained opera singer I am very comfortable teaching musical theatre, jazz, pop, you name it! The fundamentals of vocal health are the same no matter your taste in music.

Piano
Learning the basics of piano is a great way to start your musical journey. I have been studying piano since I was a child and love to help beginners discover this instrument as well. If you are looking for music lessons for a child under 12 this is where I recommend you start!

Ukulele
The ukulele is an instrument that I learned later in life. Walking around downtown St. John's one day I stumbled into a music shop and fell in love with a yellow ukulele. I didn't know how to play but I wanted to learn. Fast forward 14 years (yikes!) and I can help you learn as well. Ukulele is a fantastic instrument for those who love to sing and want to accompany themselves. We can even do hybrid voice and uke lessons!

Thinking about taking lessons?
I teach all 3 instruments both online (via zoom) and in-person. I'm very fortunate to have students all over the world (Toronto, Shanghai, and Miami just to name a few) so no matter where you live we can set up a lesson! If you're a new student please contact me about booking a half hour trial lesson or book one through my calendly app (keep scrolling!) A half hour trial lesson is $20 and it gives us a chance to get to know each other. It's important for me to find out your level of ability and your personal goals before we get started to figure out if I'm the right teacher for you. If I'm not I'm happy to point you in the direction of a colleague who is!
